We love featuring the work of new and emerging talents online alongside that of the world’s best. Before submitting your work, please carefully read our submission guidelines below. Due to the huge amount of submissions, if the guidelines are not followed your submission cannot be responded to. Please note that due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to provide individual feedback, and our responses maybe delayed. Thanks for your understanding and patience.



Written Submissions – Please send to Tom or Andrew
We’re always on the look out for new writers to help tell our stories. If you have an idea for a story, know an artist / photographer / person with a great story, we’d love to hear about it.

Include subject line: Written Submission, your name, the title of your submission:

– A short bio introducing yourself and your writing experience
– Your crediting details such as blogs, websites, social media accounts
– Your written submission (max. 300 words)

Photographic Submissions – Please send to Tom
Include subject line: Photo Submission, your name, description of submission (for example ’empty waves’):

– A short bio introducing yourself and your photography
– 100-word max explanation of your submission
– Photo series with each image prepared as: Jpeg, 72dpi, 2000pxls wide, RGB or Grayscale
– Please make sure you submit a series/ collection of work not singular photos

Digital/ Art submissions – Please send to Andrew
Include subject line: Art Submission, your name, description of submission (for example ‘oil paintings’):

– A short bio introducing yourself and your art practice
– 100-word explanation of your submission
– Artwork / series submission with each image prepared as: Jpeg, 72dpi, 2000pxls wide, RGB or Grayscale

Ongoing Web Feature Categories:

NOW
Now is an ongoing photographic series featuring fascinating work by and of our favourite photographers. Models, singers, friends, strangers, and others in between—NOW showcases the lives of creative people from around the world.

To be considered for inclusion in this series, please include the below in an email to: tbatrouney@papersea.com.au

  • Include subject line: NOW Submission, your name, description of submission (for example ‘Portraits of Laura’):
  • A selection of 8-12 images prepared as: Jpeg, 72dpi, 2000pxls wide, RGB or Grayscale
  • A 100 word explanation of the shoot
  • The below questions filled out by the series’ model if possible
  • Your social media and website info if you’d like it included
  • The model’s social media and website info if they’d like it included
  • Anyone else involved in shoot who needs to be credited

On The Road
Show us your road trips! We want to see where you’re exploring on your weekend trips. From coastal road missions to bush walks and camp outs, we want to see where you go to get away, who you go with and how you get there.

In My Ears
We want to see the best live music or album/ song through your camera, iPhone and eyeballs. Show us what’s good in music and introduce us to a band we should know about.

  • A selection of 8-12 images shot on your phone or camera is fine
  • A 100-300 word review of the gig / album including: background/introduction to the band as if we’ve never heard of them, an in-depth description of the gig / your experience listening to the album, or any other relevant fascinating info
  • Links to the band’s website / social media / Soundcloud / YouTube / Spotify / whatever pages
  • Your own social media / website info if you’d like it included
