My photography celebrates the power of the ocean and the beauty found in quiet moments. Ranging from portraits of my friends to the dark waves of the south coast, my photos are about letting people into an unknown world—a world that can be hard to access if you haven’t spent most of your life consumed by the sea.

This is a series of black and white 35mm film images, mostly shot on old Canon and Nikonos V cameras. It aims to create a balance between movement and inner stillness, and the black and white is used to allude to the enchanting power and mystery of the ocean that we are surrounded by. The subjects reflect back to the certain state of mind we feel as we enter the sea.

I hope you enjoy.
