Where do you look for inspiration?
Traveling keeps my mind inspired but when I’m home I love to look at other people's work. I buy tons of magazines and books from which I take inspiration. I also love to keep studying photography, I think it’s something I’ll never stop learning about.

Describe one of your most challenging moments shooting.
One of the most challenging moment was probably my first official campaign with a brand. I was very nervous and probably not prepared for a real commissioned shoot. I felt like a child on his first day at school. I had like 4 cameras and couple of bags full of everything just in case. But I ended up shooting the whole campaign with one camera and one lens.

What’s the stupidest thing you’ve done for a shot?
I was shooting a swimwear campaign in Hawaii and I had to produce some surf photos for the brand. Unfortunately the wind was on shore for days so we decided to try a wave that was breaking on an outer reef. It was my first time in Hawaii and I spent 3 hours floating in the channel in the middle of nowhere. Once I got back on the shore, completely tired, a local guy came to me and told me that those waters were full of sharks and someone was attacked not so long ago. I still don't know if he was joking but we ended up getting the shot.

What keeps you motivated/ excited about life?
I’ve always been passionate about art and human sciences. I can find motivations by taking a walk around Florence or just driving down the coast. I believe that what surrounds me in a precise moment gives me the strength and keeps me excited about life and people.

What’s the best lesson you’ve learned since you started photography?
The best lesson I’ve learnt about photography is to wait. Wait for the perfect light, wait for a factor that will dramatically change your image and turn it into something special. Waiting is the best part.

Describe your favourite part of the world (aside from home) and tell us why.
I wouldn’t say I have a favorite part of the world I'm just keen to travel more around it! I can say the Maldives are out of the planet shooting from the water.

Who is one of your favourite people to work with and why?
My girlfriend Sara for sure. She’s my muse and she see things from another perspective. She helps me a lot especially when I share my work with her. She always has good advice for me.

What’s your favourite photo (ever / at the moment) and why?
I don’t have a fav one. Sorry!

How do you want to be remembered?
Just as humble guy by those who have crossed my path in life.
