Photos + Words by Jorge Garcia

This story is honest and real, and I think it should be told.

When I was young, I read all the surf magazines I could.

I wanted to document the ocean and everything in it.

Although my adolescence was a time loaded with frustration, capturing the routine of each day inspired me.

My need to photograph grew stronger, so I started to travel farther.

Locating new areas and spots that one could call ‘secret’.

And now I see; the photographs that I take would not exist without the people that discovered these secret spots. Without the people that helped me find them, and the stories that led me there.

The waves will always be here, waiting from somebody to know how to look at them.

For now, that person is me.
